An everyday cooking paste thatās spicy, savory and a bit sweet. Good for marinating, zhuzhing, dipping and mixing. Add to anything that could use a punch of flavor. A little goes a long way.

A jang ģ„ (gochu-jang, ssam-jang) is a sauce or paste made from fermented soybeans. Gochujang and ssamjang in particular define spiciness in Korean cuisine.
Thereās no wrong way to use a jang. Add to anything that could use a punch of flavor, either straight from the jar or while cooking. Try either in rice bowls, add gochujang to bolognese or chicken wings, dip a cucumber in ssamjang ā find what works for you.
Our products are made in small batches in Korea using traditional methods (think: cotton cloths, ceramic pots, and iron cauldrons). Fermentation, like all good things, takes time.Ā
